USO Comes to Gramercy Park

The other evening The National Arts Club celebrated Fleet Week.

All hands were on deck for a fun-filled, meet and greet evening with America’s Naval, Marine and Coast Guard officers.

The evening began with a great conversation with Lieutenant Junior Grade Brad Robinson.  Brad comes from Alabama and shared his love for this country and his own personal dreams for his future.  Speaking with Brad put the Navy on the map for me in a personal way and it was an absolute honor to have met him!

Then I had the opportunity to meet two of the members of The USO, The United Service Organizations Inc.

These young ladies along with two other members of their troop belong to The USO, a non-profit organizations that provides programs, service and live entertainment to US troops and their immediate families!

Then, yum! it was time for dinner and entertainment.

So below is the table that greeted me…

And here was the dinner that was served…

And then after dessert, The USO entertainers sang all kinds of patriot songs coupled with some music from the 60’s like the classic, It’s My Party and I’ll Cry if I Want To!

So all I can say IS THAT I AM VERY PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN AND VERY PROUD OF THE MEN AND THE WOMEN THAT SERVE THIS GREAT COUNTRY!!!
