Outdoor Dining in The Berkshires

So as I posted in the Travel tab of my A New Yorker’s Point of View blog-I was beyond fortunate after a 4 month New York City lockdown to take a 2 night vacation to Lee, Massachusetts which is part of the Berkshires.

I absolutely loved the Berkshires.  We were in Stockbridge, Great Barrington and Lee and our Inn was in Lee.

So the first evening there we outdoor dined at The Lion’s Den at the hotel The Red Lion Inn.

It seems these days that everyone is going paperless and so here’s the menu’s QR Code.

And so I decided to order a Grilled Chicken Breast on a Bun with lettuce, tomato, half Sour Pickle, Cabot Cheddar and I added bacon.

Now The Red Lion Inn is an old guest house with only 17 room and well known by folks who frequent the Berkshires.

But I have to say, that the food was ok but nothing ooh-la-la but it was soooo fun being in the Berkshires and for that I am so grateful.

Now the next restaurant that we tried was Park 51 Restaurant and Tavern which is located in Lee Massachusetts.

OK. The food was fabulous.

I decided to order a Kale and Brussels Salad.

It had chopped kale and brussel sprout shavings, roasted tomatoes, pepitas, shaved parm, and parmesan peoppecorn.  It was fabulous!!

And with that I ordered Chili Coconut Shrimp.

They were lightly breaded fried shrimp in a sweet chile sauce.

Hm. Hm. good

And now I’m going to cheat a bit and say that I found myself in the chocolate store Lindt in an outdoor mall in Lee.and which one did I choose-I could only have one sample 🙂

and the winner was Pistachio.

Sooooo good. I love Lindt chocolate.

So here I am saying good-bye from in front of The Red Lion Inn until we meet again!!!
