The Skin Cancer Foundation is holding its annual Skin Cancer Foundation Gala on October 17, 2019.  The Champions for Change Gala is the Skin Cancer Foundation’s signature fundraising event and from 6:30 to 11 will be held at the Plaza Hotel which is located at Fifth Avenue and Central Park South, New York, NY.

The Skin Cancer Foundation’s mission since its founding in 1979 has set the standard for educating the public and the medical profession about skin cancer.  Each year alone in the US there are more new cases of skin cancer than the combined incidences of breast cancer, prostrate cancer, lung cancer as well as colon cancer.

The foundation stresses that skin cancer is primarily a lifestyle disease and that is why The Skin Cancer Foundation is passionate about emphasizing public awares and runs its public educational campaigns.
