Spanish Lunch at Alcala

So my friend from Florida was in for a few days and we met for a leisurely Spanish lunch at Alcala which is located at 246 E. 44th Street.

So here is the inside of the restaurant…

So it was a hot and muggy day and I decided to get the Pechugus de Poll al Ajillo. That means 🙂 filet of chicken marinated in parsley and garlic with scalloped potatoes and sauteed vegetables.

And for dessert, I decided to have the Tarta de Manzana which is warm apple tart tatin with Natillas and Spanish brandy sauce.

So I can’t really say that I’m a big fan of Spanish food though I like sharing a plate of tapas but it was fun to see my friend and New York City is really Phew…hot.
