The other evening I met a friend at Le Cafe Louis Vuitton which is located on the fourth floor of the flagship Louis Vuitton store . Now, this fabulous looking store is located right next door to Tiffany’s and its address is 6 East 57th Street. The cafe is a tres chic destination with an extremely creative menu designed by both Christope Bellanca and Mary George and additionally guided by French chefs Arnaus Donckele and Maxine Frederic.
The cafe is adorned with elements of French design and the dining room is accented with warm neutral tones and has wall-to-wall books. The library has 650 titles which include collaborators such as Stephen Sprouse and Jeff Koons as well as international creators such as Rem Koolhaas.
The cafe is open during store hours, and is a perfect spot for afternoon tea post shopping, a casual lunch with friends or a dinner date with that someone special. Besides the main dining room, there is also an alcove to read and have a dessert or a bar and sip a cocktail and pretendLol that you’re in Paris.
All in all I absolutely adored the experience. The ambiance, the food, the waitresses were all sublime. I totally recommend Le Cafe Louis Vuitton.
It won’t disappoint!
Here are some images to walk you through the experience.
The outside of the store and once…you walk in…

Inside the restaurant…

What did I decide to order?

The fabulous bread…

As the main course, I ordered Chicken Heritage, with Japanese curry, an heirloom carrot and jus gras.
I eat chicken a lot and by far this was the best prepared chicken dish that I have ever had. I don’t even know why…. Maybe the taste, maybe the texture and maybe both. But, it was fabulous!

For dessert, I chose a Hazelnut Entremet which had hazelnut ganache, tender pralines and fleur de sol.

It was absolutely divine!!!

And a cup of black coffee to delight in.
