Lockdown on New Years and My Birthday

Well, I must admit that I thought until last March 13th, that I’d be in Florida visiting my folks and my brother and sister-in-law for the Christmas Week and New Years. But as fate would have it, I wasn’t there and here comes New Years Eve which is alsoLol my birthday.

Not one to sit home, I decided to plan a great day. So I had a radio interview for my book Eat What You Want! Stop When You Want! A No-Diet, Weight-Loss Program. Then my assistant came over for a few hours and surprised me with the most beautiful cake that she had made herself for me.

Oh, my goodness, it was chocolate through and through and completely decadent. But I was very moved by her effort and in addition she is the best assistant ever!!!!!!!

Then I had ordered a birthday cake for myself at Food Emporium at Union Square.

I must give a shout-out to their bakery department because I’ve had cakes made up there before and they do a great job!

So below is the cake that I bought myself 🙂

So at 6pm I jointed a friend for an outdoor dining, New Years, birthday celebration at the Park Avenue Tavern which is located at 39th Street on Park Avenue.

The food was good (grilled chicken on a bun with bacon and coleslaw and some chips) and it was just great to be out!!!

Then we went back to my girlfriend’s apartment which wasn’t far from the restaurant and we had birthday cake and coffee.

So I’m happy to say that I had a great Birthday day and I’m extremely grateful for all the people that shared it with me!!
