A Nashville Food Tour

Before we went to Nashville as posted in the Travel Section of this blog we purchased two tours on Viator.com

We purchased a Nashville Evening Trolley Tour which was a blast

and which I totally recommend but we also booked a Taste of Food and Sightseeing Tour which is what I will focus on in this blog post.

We started the tour at the Far Better Distillery a small distillery where the owner was completely passionate about Moonshine. Trust me, I was not.Lol

We had a Moonshine tasting as shown below and Yikes, I am not a fan 🙂

Then we went to the bestest cookie shop called Christie Cookie.

I got the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie and it definitely rocked.

Then we went to Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint which was supposed to have the best barbecue ever.

We each got a sampling of a rib, brisket and potato popovers with different spices to dip in.

It was fun to try this type of food but I’m not really a fan. Too many calories and too spicy and hot.Lol

Next it was off to Aunt Pam’s Cookies.

Aunt Pam’s Cookies has been a art of Nashville for almost 20 years. Their cookies have zero artificial preservative or sweeteners. What also makes Pam’s Cookies so special is that all purchases directly support the Pam’s Friend’s Program which provides jobs in their operations for adults with mental disabilities. As a former educator I think that that is great!

My pick…….

For our last stop we went to Third and Home.

There we tried Hot Chicken and Flatbreads. Thankfully, the chicken was hot but tolerable and I was glad that I had an opportunity to try a dish that Nashville is super known for!

So if you want to go to Nashville, definitely go on Viator.com and look for this tour. Ask to take the tour with a guy named Scott. He was so knowledgeable and made the experience an absolute delight.
