The other evening I met my girlfriend at Casa Cruz for dinner. Casa Cruz is located in an exclusive townhouse on E. 61st Street between Park and Madison Avenue on the Upper East Side. From the moment I reached the destination I knew that the experience would be great! I was first greeted by two lovely Maitre D’s.

After checking my coat I proceeded up a long staircase to meet a Warhol at the top.

Then I had to check out the bar…

From there I took the elevator to the third floor and was uber impressed with the “seat” in the elevator. Yeah for comfort and luxury!

As soon as I walked out of the elevator I was witness to their amazing wine collection in what I thought was a very impressive encasement.

Then we were taken to the dining room by another Maitre D’.

So what did I decide to order?

I was very impressed by the fact that the menu offered gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options in addition to their inspired Spanish, Mediterranean and Italian Cuisines.

So I decided on the Blackened Chicken with Polenta.

The meal was impeccable. The food was healthy tasting, very fresh and the condiment combinations were very well thought out.
