Celebrating The Paris Olympics on West 53rd Street

I was meeting some friends from out of town this week and in celebration of The Paris Olympics what better way than to dine in a French Restaurant. I gave my friends several choices to look at and they decided on La Grande Boucherie which is located at 145 West 53rd Street, a stones throw away from The Theatre District.

Here is the outside of the restaurant which is actually located in an arcade kind of street and the various outdoor dining areas and bar area.

So what did I decide to order?

After checking out the menu I decided to keep it light!

I decided to order La Salade Nicoise which came with Ahi tuna, baby oak greens, haricot greens, haricot verts, potatoes, olives, anchovies, an egg and red wine vinegrette.

But first came the ooh-la-la bread!

And Voila, The Salade Nicoise…

It was tres, tres bon! Each ingredient was as fresh as it could be and coupled with the red wine vinegrette, it was a perfect humid summer evening dinner choice.

So if you’re planning a trip to The Theatre District and you want to enjoy feeling like you just might be in a Paris restaurant then check out La Grande Boucherie and delight in the experience.
