The other week I was walking from 2nd Avenue to 3rd Avenue on East 11th Street and past the cutest restaurant and checked out the menu. It had everything that I liked and the salads looked amazing. The name of the place was Little Ruby’s or as the sign says Ruby’s.

So I made a mental note to go there for lunch since it’s not far from where I live. Well, I did that today and I am so happy that I did.
Here is the outside eating area.

Here is the inside.

What I learned from Little Ruby’s website is that, “Since 2002, Little Ruby’s has brought Australian cafe culture to New York City, offering casual, locally sourced cuisine, specialty drinks, and a full coffee program. Open for brekkie, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week, Ruby’s iconic menu features our signature bronte burger, taste-driven pasta, bowls and salads, and brunch classics like ricotta hotcakes.”
So what did I decide to order?
It is so hot out today that I opted for the Chicken Avocado Salad and it was absolutely fabulous. It included Baby Kale, Spinach, Green Apple, Candied Walnuts, Grilled Chicken and Creamy Lemon Pepper Dressing. Each ingredient was super fresh and all put together with tender care. You can tell!!

Here is their menu so you can do a general check out!

By the way, in my research I saw that there are 4 Little Ruby’s in the city. Besides the one in The East Village there is one in Soho, one in Murray Hill and one in the West Village.
So if you want a great meal for a very reasonable price check out Little Ruby’s! It won’t disappoint!!!
