Last weekend I decided to sign up for an interesting photography class that would take place in Central Park, that combined learning the elements of mindfulness when using your phone’s camera in addition to having lunch at Tavern on the Green. Well, that was a no brainer. I love Central Park. I love taking photos with my phone and why would I say no to lunch at Tavern on the Green which I hadn’t been to in ages!
Now, we were so very lucky! It turned out to be a gorgeous day and we entered the Park at 72nd Street and Fifth Avenue and here are some photos from that leisurely stroll on our way to Tavern on the Green which is located inside the Park at 67 Central Park West.

After our leisurely stroll through the park we wound up at the famous, Tavern on the Green.
Here is the front entrance…

Here is the inside bar and the various inside and outside areas where you can eat and/or drink.

So what did I decide to order?
I decided to order something that I usually wouldn’t have but decided, “What the heck.”
I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with french fries and topped it off with a cup of black coffee. Were the french fries the best that I have ever had. I can not tell a lie. Not really. They were too thin and tasteless. However, the fried chicken sandwich was really good and I was glad that I had ordered it!

So if you do get to the Park then you might see scenes that remind you of the French Impressionist Painter, George Seurat’s and his famous painting, Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grand Jatte or you may see scenes from other painters that you are also familiar with. You never know…. But if you do, enjoy!
