After a great time in Sharm El Sheikh we flew to Riyadh, Saudia Arabia and then changed planes for Dubai.

What I learned about Dubai in my research is that Dubai is located in the eastern Arabian Peninsula, on the coast of the Persian Gulf. That it’s the most populated city in the United Arab Emirates and has a population of 3.79 million where more than 90% of its population are expatriates. That beginning in the early 20th century, Dubai became a significant regional and international trade hub with a heavy emphasis on tourism and luxury. That Dubai’s main economy relies on revenues from trade, tourism, aviation, real estate and financial services. In addition, that Dubai also has the second most five-star hotels in the world, the only seven-star hotel in the world and the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa which is 2,717 feet tall.
So we flew into Dubai and got there about 3am. Yuck. We took a shuttle at the airport to the Premier Inn which was like a Best Western Hotel and had a very reasonable rate. That’s because we were going to check out at 12pm to then check in at The Burj Al Arab, the only seven-star hotel in the world.

Here is a photo of the Burj Al Arab from the taxi window.

Here are some photos in the lobby…

Here is the 19th floor where my room was. Check out the elevators and the entrance to the floor where the butler sits who takes take of anything that you want.

Now here is what my room(s) looked like. This is the downstairs.

Here is the staricase to the sleeping quarters.

Yup. And below is the upstairs bedroom, dressing room and bathroom.

Yes, an amazing experience!
