My girlfriend wanted to visit Boston and we only had 48 hours because of her work schedule so it was a really rushed experience but lots of fun. We left on a Friday night late after she got of work and drove 4 hours straight to an Airbnb that we rented.

The next morning she drove to Cambridge were we explored the town and the Harvard Campus. We then decided to visit the Harvard Museum of Science and Culture which was fantastic.
Here is the mission statement of the Museum and it didn’t disappoint.
“The mission of the Harvard Museums of Science & Culture is to foster curiousity and a spirit of discovery in visions of all ages, enhancing public understanding and appreciation for the natural world, science, and human cultures. The Museum works in concert with Harvard faculty, museum curators, and students, as well as with members of the extended Harvard community, to provide interdisciplinary exhibitions, events and lectures, and education al programs for students, teachers, and the general public.”
Here are some images of what’s in the museum. It was fabulous!

After the museum we went to the Harvard Book Store which was totally amazing. Here are some images.

Then dinner at the Legal Sea Food Restaurant in the Boston Harborside area. The food was great and the scenery spectacular!

Then on Sunday we took a drive to The Freedom Trail.
The Freedom Trail, is a 2.5 mile route that takes you to 16 historical sites. There are museums, meeting houses, churches, burial grounds and each reflect the rich history of the American Revolution as it began in Boston. We didn’t have that much time so we just walked around and here are some images from that walk.

Then it was time to drive back to Manhattan but even with this short amount of time spent in Boston, I know that there is much more to see and think about.
I totally recommend a weekend trip to Boston. There is so much to see and do. It won’t disappoint!
