My friend and I decided to escape the city on July 4th and decided to take the Metro North Train to Scarsdale.

Now Scarsdale, is a totally, charming town which is located in Westchester County and is about 25 miles north of New York City. It’s known for its beautiful suburban neighborhoods, excellent schools, and rich history.

Scarsdale was originally inhabited by the Wecquaesgeek Native American tribe and it’s first European settlers arrived in the late 17th century. Scarsdale is also known to have also played a significant role during the American Revolutionary War and has witnessed many historical events which in turn makes it a very historically, significant place to live.

Scarsdale is well-known for its stunning estates and beautiful architectural styles. Those architectural styles include Colonial, Tutor and Victorian. Coupled with their display of historical architecture Scarsdale is also known to have an excellent school system which makes it a very sought after place to live!

So now let’s take a look at Scarsdale through the lens of a New Yorker visiting for the day. First we walked around, then had a lovely lunch at Chat where we also played a word game called Word A Round was and then back to the city!
