I recently attended Gotham Business Network’s first annual cocktail party to benefit Dress for Success.

Dress for Success is a not-for-profit organization that promotes economic independence for disadvantaged women giving them professional work clothes, a network of professional support and very important career development tools to help women be productive both in work and in life.

Dress for Success www.dressforsuccess.org was started in 1997 and since then has expanded to more than 140 cities in 19 countries and has supported more than 850,000 women towards being self-sufficient.

Anyone who is interested in supporting their local Dress for Success www.dressforsuccess.org affiliate can donate clothes, support the organization financially, or can become a volunteer.

So the event was held at Maserati of Manhattan which is located at 619 West 54th Street, New York.

At the event was Iron Chef, Yerba Buena and Chef-Owner of Tolaches who in addition to Yerba Buena Perry and Julian Medina served up Tacos de Suadero and Toro Taquitos.  Attendees of the event also had the opportunity to try a sparkling signature cocktail with VOG Italia and Wild Hibiscus (two gin based cocktails) which are produced by Astoria Distilling Company and to add to this fun mix there was live music and again a silent auction to support Dress for Success (www.dressforsuccess.org).
