If you’re in the Hamptons this summer, check out the social calendar for The Parrish Art Museum‘s Midsummer party.  Their fundraiser is the highlight of the Hamptons summer social season and annually brings together almost one thousand artists, philanthropists, business leaders and art world guests that are in support of the museum.

Barbara J. Slifka is being honored and the honorary co-chairs are Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola.  In addition, Deborah F. Bancroft, H. Peter Haveles, Chad A Leat, Laura Lofaro Freeman and James L. Freeman are also active co-chairs.  Cocktails will be at 6:30 p.m.,  dinner on the Mildred C. Brinn Terrace will be at 7:30 p.m. and there will be an After Party which begins at 10:00 p.m.

Now the mission of The Parrish Museum is that “Inspired by the natural setting and artistic life of Long Island’s East End, The Parrish Art Museum stands to illuminate the creative process and how art and artists transform our experiences and understanding of the world and how we live in it!  The Museum fosters connects among individuals, art and artists through care and interpretation of the collection, the presentation of exhibitions, publications, educational initiatives, programs and their artists-in-residence.  The Parish is a center for cultural engagement, an inspiration and destination for the region, the nation and the world.”
