Lunch at Sardi’s

This afternoon I meet up with a group of gals for a Roundtable Event at Sardi’s Restaurant Now I’ve always wanted to eat at Sardis since I’ve passed it so many times and heard such great things about it’s history. Sardis which opened in 1927, is located at 234 West 44th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue in The Theater District.  It’s known for its hundreds of caricatures of show-business celebrities that completely adorn it’s walls in addition to its loyal show biz clientele.

OK. and so what did I have for dessert??

I had Bittersweet Chocolate Mousse with Raspberry Coulis (A coulis (/kˈl/ koo-lee; French) is a form of thick sauce made from puréed and strained vegetables or fruits. Fruit coulis are most often used on desserts. Raspberry coulis, for example, is especially popular with poached apples or Key lime pie).

Yes, it was yum so that I was glad that I had ordered the Chicken Breast dish as the entree!

So if you want to enjoy a different kind of ambiance, enjoy good food and check out the show biz caricatures on the wall then put Sardi’s at the top of your list if you know that you’ll be in the Theater District or close by!!
