So on Monday I took the Long Island Railroad to my cousin’s stop which is Great Neck.
Getting to Great Neck is about a 35 minute ride on the train and when I got there my cousin picked me up and she drove to Port Washington-the last stop on this line.
Port Washington is a hamlet and governed by the town of North Hempstead. It’s a lovely place with lots of rolling hills and a serpentine coastline in the northwest corner of Nassau Country.
Here are some assorted images from the marina area.
It made for a great Labor Day happening.
