I met a group of friends this past weekend to have brunch and then visit The Amory Art Show at Jacob Javits Convention Center. Our first stop was brunch and it was out Electric Lemon which is located at on the top of the five star Equinox Hotel in Hudson Yards. The rooftop bar has an 8,000 square food rooftop garden which is complete with a monumental Jaume Plensa sculpture. It overlooks the Hudson River and the city skyline. They have a wide range of food and drinks from light bites to seasonal offerings at dinner and rooftop brunch on the weekends. It’s open all year round because of the sleek and expansive dining room as well as fire-pits on the al fresco terrace.

We ate in the dining room because the humidity was terrrible which is where they served seasonal American cuisine which celebrates the passionate farmers, growers and artisans of the very special Mid-Atlantic region.

So what did I decide to order?

We ate around 11am so we had to choose food from the Brunch Menu. I decided to have Avocado Toast and 2 poached eggs. Hmmm….Good.
