Lakeside Trolley Tasting Tour

Over the weekend I was in the Finger Lakes and while my friends went hiking and swimming I decidedLol that a wine tasting adventure was definitely the more fun option for me. So I googled Things to do in the Finger Lakes and came across The Lakeside-Trolley Company and very luckily I was able to book their Seneca East Adventure also called Discover Seneca Lake: A Journey of Taste and Adventure. I felt that the ticket was fairly priced at $61.50 and the tour began at 10:45am and ended baqck at their ticket booth at 5:36pm.

Well, I had a blast and everyone was so nice and accommodating. There was Skip the bus driver and Drew our fearless leader.

Here’s an image of our bus and Drew.

So who was on the bus with me?

Well, there were two Bachelorette groups, then 3 couples and then assorted others including myselfLol.

Everyone was very friendly and looking to have a good time.

Here is a photo of one of the Bachelorette groups and 3 of the couples and yes, Me. That’s what happens after 6 wineries. It was a blast!

So…

To keep it simple I’m going to share our stops with you and include links to each winery so that you have a reference base on how to plan your own wine tour if you’re in The Finger Lakes region or simply if you decide to visit each winery based on your own preferred schedule.

Our first stop was the J.R. Dill Winery.

The tastes were lovely but I didn’t buy any wine because I refused to carry them and then back to New York. But I totally recommend this winery. The wine flavors were very unique.

Our second stop was Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards.

It was here that I chose a Bramble Berry Wine Slushy which was fantabulous.

Our third stop was Solera Tap House.

It was here that I ordered their house favorite which was called Orange Crush. It was made with made with orange flavored vodka, a juiced orange naval, triple-sec and a lemon-lime soda. I just sipped it to try it and it was nice!

The fourth stop included two places that were within walking distance from each other.

The first place was The Finger Lakes Distillery which is the region’s first stand-distillery. They use locally grown fruit and grains to produce high quality handmade spirits. which include an award-winning selection of Whiskey, Vodka, Gin, Brandy and Liquors.

But true confessions since I’m really not into any of these types of liquors (I only tasted the Orange Crush at the previous place) so I decided to walk over to the second place which was in close proximity and that was Damiani Wine Cellars.

Well, sinceLol I’m really not a drinker but looove tastings by the time I got to Damiani all I really wanted was a cool soft drink and so I chose a Barmy Seltzer with a Grapefruit flavor which was fantastic and check out the view. Unbelievable.

Our last stop was Grist Iron Brewing.

By this time, I just didn’t want anythingLol so I just sat outside, watched the beautiful scenery and read my book.

I totally recommend The Lakeside-Trolley Company if you’d like to have a great time on a tasting tour bus.

It won’t disappoint!
