I just got back from an All-Ivy Beer Tasting at The Harvard Club. I was a guest of my cousin and it was a great opportunity to enjoy The Harvard Club and to go to an all-ivy event.
Below you can see the grand room that the event was held in…
So the beers that were available to be tasted were Belhaven Scottish Ale, Fuller’s ESB (Extra Special Bitter), Samuel Smith’s Organic Perry (Pear Cider), Samuels Smith’s Organic Apple Cider, Young’s Double Chocolate Stout and Harviestoun Old Engine Oik Black Ale.
In addition to the beers, some of the food served on their cold menu was a selection of Artisanal English Cheeses with Fruit Preserves and Assorted Breads, Head Cheese on Brown Bread Smorrebrod, Potted Hough, Picnic Meat Pie, Salmon Rillettes, Deviled Farm Eggs and Heirloom Tomato with Goat Cheese Tart.
Their hot menu included Fish and Chips, Chicken Tikka Masala, Veal Breast St. Menehold and Beef in in Stout.
In addition we heard from Co-Author Devin Briski who helped write the book Beeronomics-How Beer Explains the World.
It was a fun and informative evening!!!
