Another cold and somewhat rainy night in The Big Apple but I met a friend uptown at Elio’s which is located at 1621 2nd Avenue at 84th Street. As you’ll see from the images, Elio’s is an old school Italian restaurant with close intimate seating. This very close seating made the room very noisy by 7pm but the food was brought to the table very quickly and was very excellent.
So here are some images from the front entrance, into the bar area and then into the dining room area.

So I decided to keep it low in calories and it was a decision between the Seafood Salad or the Chicken Paillard Capricciosa. I opted for the Chicken Paillard because it seemed the simplest way to go.
First came the bread basket. So yummy.

Then came the Chicken Paillard and a side of very tender, well seasoned Green Beans. They went together really well.

So was the meal pricey?
With tax and tip my share of the dinner was $43.00. So yes, it’s pricey but so is any restaurant of this sort on the Upper East Side 🙂
Enjoy!
