Getting back to my weekend in Vernon, New Jersey (which I started sharing in my previous post on (Grounds for Sculpture) on Saturday my friends and I went to the Warwick Winery which is located at 114 Little York Road, Warwick, New York.
It was a super chill place and I loved it. My friends and I did a combined Wine Tasting and Cider Tasting and then we had lunch outside and had some live music to boot
What I found out about the Warwick Winery is that the owners started growing apples in 1990 and that presently the winery has the most diverse selection of apples with over 65 heirloom and modern apple varieties.
That in 1994, they created Doc’s Cider and that they are the oldest cidery in New York State. That originally they made and sold cider from real fruit decades before there was a craft cider industry. And that today their cider is distributed in 29 states and three countries.
In 1995 they hosted their first Bob Dylan Tribute Festival and ever since then they’ve had live music every weeikend and multiple music festivals each year.
In 1998 they built their own cafe and all their food is locally sourced, farm-grown ingredients.
In 2001, they kicked off the craft spirits movement and became the 1st craft distillery in NYS since prohibition.
And after 30 years they are still going strong as witnessed by our visit and here are some photos.

And yes, I bought 2 bottles of cider.
From the tasting I decided on the Sour Cherry and the Black Currant.
They were amazing. T
